- Interestingly, the boxes did not each contain the complete sets. While one had only shirts, one had waistcoats and another had collars. The nobles had to resort to complicated exchange of boxes in order to get complete sets of the clothes.
- Most of the "shahi libas" is still preserved in the wardrobe. But the maintenance leaves a lot to be desired. The wardrobe forms part of the H.E.H The Nizam's Museum. How are the authorities taking care of the clothes? Through napthalene tablets and occasional fumigation.
- "Though the wardrobe itself is not affected, some of the outfits have taken a beating," says D. Bhaskar Rao, curator of the museum.
- The Trust that owns the wardrobe obviously has a tough task at hand. The large number of visitors coming to see the wardrobe are not able to appreciate it for want of good lighting.
- The palace also houses the Nizam's museum, which is dedicated to the last Nizam of Hyderabad state. Currently the palace is being used as a school and as an Industrial Training Institute ITI.
- The museum exhibits the gifts and mementos presented to the last Nizam on the occasion of the silver jubilee celebrations in 1937. A 1930 Rolls Royce, Packard and a Mark V Jaguar are among the vintage cars displayed.
