HYDERABAD, THE PUBLIC GARDENS

  • The Lalitha Kala Thoranam, an open-air theater, has been a venue for many film festivals, fashion shows and beauty pageants.

  • The building of the Department of Horticulture and an ancient mosque are among other fascinating places in the premises.

  • A stunningly beautiful and immense white structure located in the Public Garden, is the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly.

  • The white structure looks simply heavenly, located amidst the sprawling green lawns. In 1985 a New Legislative Assembly hall was inaugurated by the then Prime Minister of India, Late Sri. Rajiv Gandhi.

  • The state government has recently added a huge statue of the Father of Nation, Mahatma Gandhi in the Garden. Sitting in a praying posture, the statue looks peacefully serene and adds to the beauty of the Garden.
